St Kilda Sharks are set to launch their 2019 South Eastern Women’s Football (SEWF) season in spectacular fashion with the club hosting its inaugural Susan Alberti Lunch at Peanut Farm on Sunday 28 April.
The lunch coincides with the Sharks’ season-opening games, with division two taking on Tyabb at 12noon, followed by the big division one clash between St Kilda and Port Melbourne at 2pm.
All funds raised at the lunch will be donated to the Susan Alberti Medical Research Foundation (SAMRF), dedicated to raising money through a series of annual fundraising events including a Gala Ball which has been held in Melbourne for almost 30 years.
SAMRF has raised millions of dollars since its inception and is helping to deliver tomorrow’s medical discoveries, today.
Susan Alberti AC is one of Australia’s pre-eminent philanthropists, having donated millions of dollars to medical research and other charitable causes over her successful business career.
Tickets are $30 per head and include entry to the event, a two-course meal, plus a panel of stars including Susan Alberti and AFLW players.
There will also be a raffle held on the day with fantastic prizes including a $500 AFL travel voucher, a signed Geelong AFLW jumper plus loads more!
