The home of Peninsula football is set for something very special on Sunday when Sorrento and Dromana collide in the 2019 Chisholm MPNFL Division One Grand Final at Frankston Park.
This magnificent setting – that echoes with the sounds, and flickers with the scenes, of grand final days gone by – plays host to two clubs that last met on the biggest day of the season in 2013.
Can Dromana’s tough and resilient defence keep the dangerous Sharks to a single-figure goal tally for the third time this year – or will Leigh Poholke and Nick Corp change the Sharks’ fortunes around after a one-point loss to Pines on this very day last year.
Frankston YCW and Mt Eliza will lock horns in the curtain raisers in the reserves and under 19s.
And Rosebud will look to join the richest honour-roll of champions when the Buds take on the ultimate challenge in the Chisholm MPNFL Division One A Grade Grand Final against Edithvale-Aspendale at Olympic Park on Saturday.
The greatest conquests in life are always judged on the size of the challenge put before us – and the Buds have the opportunity to gain rare recognition and satisfaction when they take on the undisputed champions of the MPNFL.
Is Rosebud the team to end the Eagles amazing run of success or will it merely become another statistic, another notch on the belt, for the greatest achievers in the history of MPNFL netball?
