St Kilda legend Nathan Burke will be the keynote speaker at the AFL South East Female Coaching Seminar to be held at Casey Fields on Monday 25 June.
The 323-game superstar, who began his career with Pines, will base his talk around the differences associated with coaching female and male footballers.
Two sessions will run concurrently on the evening.
In room one – new female coaches will be introduced to football, with particular emphasis on the coaching of female footballers.
In room two – existing male and female coaches will be given some great tips on the running of skill sessions for female footballers, and also the key elements in preventing injuries to the players.
Women’s football is one of the fastest growing and exciting new areas of the game but, from a coaching perspective, it does throw up its own unique set of challenges.
